Rarely we propose review about dubstep on dub-connection. To be honest, it's not the kind I appreciate and follow the most. So, to make up for it, I will present you a new project from France: Alek6.
Dub Fresh Air vol.1
New compilation proposed and produced as free release by DubMassive.org (Poland) in collaboration with the netlabel 4weed.net (Italy).
This one presents various European artists mainly from Germany, Poland and UK. By this fact, Dub Fresh Air vol.1 is an interesting and rich production, despite its tracklist of 8 pieces.
Recto Versus vol. 2
Recto Versus is a collection of compilation launched by the netlabel LCL. Each volume of this collection present an artist of the net label who invite other artists. For an exchange of mix. The volume 2 of this collection is dedicated to the Italian dub producer: Arrogalla.
High Tone - Out Back
As every kind, dub music has its main artists such as the creator King Tubby or the UK pioneers Zion Train. High Tone can be classified on this category of explorers of dub music. Actually, 15 ago the band turned up with a sound totally new. A sound which mixed up Jamaican roots, hip-hop, breakbeat and other electronic musics. The band called it novo-dub. This style of dub became long time synonym of French touch.
Lola dubstaquouère
In memory of the fabulous and genius Serge Gainsbourg, the French band Ondubground proposes a new net-EP on its label Original Dub Gathering. Actually, this production presents dub versions of the song "Lola Rastaqouère" from the first album reggae of the master: "Aux armes et cætera".
