Dreadlock Tales

Dreadlock Tales is a dub group from Helsinki, Finland. The collective was found in 1999 as a studio project to record roots dub reggae.

Today DLT sound is quite electronic dub with an essence of Ambient Chillout, Roots and London style dubzz. Machines in fusion with instruments.

Most of the work for the second album is done and we will see it coming out winter time 2009

Though the project was supposed to stay in the studio, something happened in 2004 and Over 80 shows have been performed in the past few years amongst Finland in Sweden, Russia, U.K. Lithuania, Italy, India and Nepal. Warming up the stage succesfully for Zion Train (UK), Shpongle and Hallucinogen (UK), Channel One Soundsystem (JAM/UK), Hidria Spacefolk (FI), MIR-O(FI), C-P-C (RU). Honored to Play in parties with projects like: Cosmosis(UK), Eat Static (UK), Kukan Dub Lagan (ISR) SWA (RU), Kindzadza (RU), ASA ja Jätkäjtkät (FI) Ole Lukoya (RU), Deviant Species (UK), Healing of the Nation (FI), Syntax Error (DEN), Derango (SWE), EvsY (FI), Haltya (FI), S.U.N Project (DEN), Yggdrasil (SWE).. In some beautiful Open air festivals like: Konemetsa (fi) 2005 & 2006, Space of Joy at black sea (ru) 2005, Faces festival (fi) 2006 & 2007, The most spiritually charged festival Yaga Gathering in the forests of Lithuania 2007, Shivaratri Festival on the hills of Nagargot in Nepal 2008 and Trimurti Festival in the woods of Slomensk in 2008 on Russian grounds.
