Salmonella Dub is a dub, drum'n'bass and reggae live band from Kaikoura, New Zealand. The band is formed during the summer 1992/1993 by the meeting of Andrew Penman, David Deakins and Mark Tyler.
During the following year, the 3 musicians meet the percussionists Marcus Puentener and Craig Allen then Ice Mac and his soundsystem. Later in the year they hooked up Pete Wood on keys and trumpet and Conan Wilcox on sax and percussion. Also, the sound engineer David Wernham joint the Salmonella Dub's adventure. Tiki Taane was the last member to join the band and was quick to learn the Dub ethic extending the mixing desk further into the realms of musical instruments.
The Salmonella Dub's debut album is published in 1994. This album is published and distributed directly by the major company EMI. Company which will publish all the discography of the band.
In January 2007, The band front man, Tiki Taane, left the band to pursue his solo career. He start a new project called Tikidub Productions.
